This is the bag I’ve wanted since high school. Back then, I dreamed of carrying it to class, and later, I thought it would be my perfect university tote—but for some reason, I never got around to buying it. Finally, on my 2023 trip to Japan, with the great exchange rate and tax-free shopping, I made it happen! And ever since, it’s become my go-to bag for travel, work, and everything in between.
Why I Love It
- Airline friendly: Fits most personal bag requirements, including Flair.
- Bought in Japan: Snagged mine tax-free, and the stronger dollar made it such a great deal.
- Lightweight & foldable: It folds into a neat little square, making it perfect as an overflow bag.
- Easy to clean: The interior wipes down easily—great for messy days like grocery runs or beach trips.
- Everyday work bag: It doesn’t add extra weight, which makes it ideal for my daily carry.
- Feels safe to carry: With so many fakes floating around Asia, I don’t feel like I’m lugging around something too flashy.
- Comfortable straps: They don’t dig into your shoulder, even with a heavier load.
- Zips closed: Makes it more secure for commuting or travel.
- Lots of colors: There’s a shade to match any mood or outfit.
A Few Drawbacks
- No crossbody strap: Would’ve been nice for versatility.
- Limited compartments: Only two pockets, but bag inserts are a game-changer. I purchased this laptop sleeve that had SO MANY compartments from Amazon.
- No key holder: You’ll need to dig around for your keys.
- No laptop section: I use a separate laptop case for protection.
- No water bottle holder: Can be tricky if you need to carry one around.
- No luggage band: It won’t attach to your suitcase, which would’ve been handy.
Despite a few cons, this tote has become my everyday essential—lightweight, durable, and chic. I honestly don’t know how I went so long without it!
