When you’re in Tagaytay, you have to find a ridge-side restaurant. We opted to eat at Leslie’s Restaurant because we were hoping to eat some bulalo, and sit with a view. At Leslie’s Restaurant, you’re not just dining—you’re taking in the view of Taal Volcano Island and the surrounding Taal Lake.
The outdoor seating is amazing, with native birds flying around as you overlook the beautiful ridge.
In Tagaytay, it’s all about bulalo, and the bulalo here did not disappoint—rich and flavorful. Bulalo is a traditional Filipino beef soup made with beef shank and bone marrow. The dish is slow-cooked to tenderize the meat and release the rich flavor from the marrow, to make a flavorful broth. It’s usually served with vegetables like corn, cabbage, potatoes, and pechay (Filipino bok choy). Bulalo is especially popular in this area!
We also enjoyed a variety of fried and grilled dishes, making it a perfect spot for a hearty meal with an unforgettable view.
